Biography
Jaime Salvador Valls (Barcelona, Spain, November 4, 1901 – Mexico City, Mexico, October 18, 1976) was a Spanish screenwriter and film director who developed much of his career during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. After working in France, Hollywood, and Cuba, he settled in Mexico, where he became a prolific director and the principal screenwriter for Cantinflas, writing many of the comedian's most celebrated films. Focused on popular entertainment, his films achieved considerable box-office success throughout his career.
