Eleni Karpeta

Biography

Eleni Karpeta is a Greek actress and director. Born in 1937 in Chiliadou, Fthiotida. Graduated from the National Theatre School. In 1971, she founded the "STOA" theatre (Zografou) with actor Thanasis Papageorgiou, where she staged several plays until 1974, when she left. She acted in and directed many performances at the State Theatre of Northern Greece and from 1974 to 1986 she taught acting there. She was married to Nikos Xanthopoulos, with whom she had a son.
